The walk begins on the lakeside pathway outside Te Kowhai Landing. The Lions Club of Taupo developed this walk. From Two Mile Bay it is an easy stroll along the lakeshore reserves to Four Mile Bay and Wharewaka Point. Ideal picnic and swimming spots can be found along the way. The walk has been extended and now continues along a formed track on a terrace above the lake edge to Five Mile Bay. Toilets can be found at Three Mile Bay, Four Mile Bay and Five Mile Bay. Return via the same track or arrange to be picked up at your finishing point. |
